My name is sandy feet -- Since 1995 I have been promoting South Padre Island and spring break on the internet and in print. I also have won a modest amount of fame building sand sculpture. Now I find myself easing into the role of "innkeeper" and am actually having a lot of fun creating a special space for a special kind of travelor....the kind of space that I would and do seek out when I hit the road. Details Details DetailsWelcome to my SandBox! Reservations Let me know what dates you are interested in and how many are in your party and I will get right back to you with availability and rates. Generally speaking, a deposit of half the total will secure your dates and rates. This deposit - less a $50 "restocking fee" - is refundable if I am able to rebook your dates (and I will do my best to do just that.) I accept VISA, Mastercard and Discover on my secure server, check/moneyorder or Paypal (feet@unlitter.com). You can check availability here. Note: I may also require a damage deposit of as much as $500, particularly during spring break. This deposit will be returned to you within two weeks of your departure, provided you leave the place in good shape. (Normal wear & tear is not the issue: I am talking about broken furniture, boiled-over crud on the burners, etc.) Arrival To get to the SandBox, turn left on Padre Blvd. at the end of the causeway. Head north about 4 miles looking for Blackbeards' restaurant. Turn right (beachward) on Saturn and look for the gray house on the right with the A-frame roof - 117 E. Saturn Lane. Check out the neighborhood! You will check in with me in the ground floor apartment. It is a good idea to call ahead and let me know the approximate time of your arrival so that I can be there to greet you and help you get settled in. Check-in time is any time after 3 PM; check-out time is any time before 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available depending on shoulder bookings - just ask. What you will Find This unit is fully equipped with central AC/heat, bed & bath linens, coffee maker, espresso machine, waffle maker, pool table, upright piano, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, spices and condiments, tea-pot, iron, dishwasher, full-sized fridge, countertop water filter, bidet, two TV's, hair dryers, iPod-driven sound system, Eames Chair, etc. I am working on having a bike or two available for guest use. I try to keep some beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and floaties around as well. If you don't find something you need, feel free to ask and if it is within my power to provide it, I will. Note: there is no washer/dryer in this unit, but there is a laundramat near by. What you will need to bring You should bring sun tan lotion, groceries and paper products - I will provide enough toilet paper and paper towel to get you started. The unit is well-equipped withhair dyers, iron, shampoos and soaps, beach towels, spices and some condiments. Spring Break Breakers are welcomed. I will not insult you with plastic bracelets, curfews, head counts, noise restrictions, etc. but I will expect you to conduct yourselves in a more-or-less adult manner. Treat me and my Inn with respect and I will return the favor -- and you will have no problem getting that $500 deposit back. House Rules You must be 18 or older to rent this condo. This unit has beds for six people... but as it is stocked with a futon sofa, a bed sofa, and inflateable bed and some foam pads, it can actually accommodate a few more. Rates posted are for occupancy of up to 6 persons (or 8 during spring break weeks). I reserve the right to charge an additional $15/night per additional person. I may be willing to give discounts to smaller groups, especially off season. Smoking is not permitted inside. However, you are welcomed to light up outside on either of the decks. Ash trays will be furnished for this purpose - please use them as I really hate finding butts in my garden. Well-mannered pets are warmly welcomed. A $20 pet fee will be added to the usual cleaning fee. Read more about critter policies. Final Note I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, and will not be responsible for accidents or injury of guests or vehicles or for the loss of money, jewelry or valuables of any kind. |
