The Annex - Dad Feet's Legacy
Dad Feets' Annex was an addition to the SandBox built in 2009. It is small - a little over 300 square feet and so can only accommodate 1-2 people - with the following amenities:
two single beds (trundle set up)
kitchenette - fridge, sink, electric kettle, microwave, hot plate, toaster oven
private bathroom with shower stall
private entrance/patio
closet
Cable TV/WiFi
AC/heat & ceiling fan
Access to semi-private sundeck
Sorry, no pets.The annex is sometimes used as a guest/family/musicians/artists/caretaker cottage and is not available for rent 5/14 - 8/29.
Note: This apartment is attached to the owner's apartment by a door (kept locked.) Guests should not plan on using the Annex as a "party place" or to entertain more than one guest at a time.
2014 Rates (add 14.5% occ. tax and $20 cleaning/linens fee) - $60/night or $375/wk

Don "Dad Feets" Wierenga passed away unexpectedly on April 20, 2009. He built the annex pretty much single-handedly in the four months prior to his death, with the fond hope that he would be able to spend many happy winters here on SPI with his middle daughter, Lucinda.
The fates are sometimes very cruel. Too cruel. I wake up every day missing him and go to sleep every night feeling the same way.
He was an amazing man who touched so many lives.... and he definitely left his mark on the SandBox in so many ways.
